Alberto, you're arriving early

Well, that's early. What? A sub-tropical storm watch. (Hurricane season doesn't start until June 1st.)

Alberto is in the Gulf, which makes my two surf-loving adult children delighted. Surf is up!

And rain is coming! The gardens thrive.

Tropical Storm Watch for July 31, 2017

I just checked the weather. Surprise! Bradenton and Anna Maria Island (the beach pictured) have a tropical storm watch. I walked outside to check the clouds and characteristic fast movement across the sky. The parking lot has drained from the night rains. The pond is full. I'm glad that our trees and palms have been trimmed. That makes for less cleanup. Most rain will come later this morning as the system moves across the state. (I'll post more photos later.)
