As I slowly drove through the neighborhood toward home, I noticed a hawk sitting on a light post. I stopped to take its photograph from my car window just as a bluejay aggressively "asks" the hawk to scram!
I think this is a juvenile red-shouldered hawk. I had to carefully look at photographs of both the red-tailed and red-shouldered hawks to discern a difference.
