Mammatus clouds, after a micro-burst downpour

The regularity of summer storms picked up in the last week. One was a micro-burst and flooded the neighborhood like tropical storm Colin did a month or so ago.

This is a photo of some mammatus clouds looking up from Pineneedle Drive. When we lived in Texas, we welcomed the sight of these cotton-ball clouds because they mean that the worst of a storm has passed.

I took these photographs over a period of twenty minutes.
