A quick hello, sweet neighbors -- about a planted seed and an experience in the butterfly garden.
So I planted a Ylang Ylang tree seed 5 years ago. In it held hope of enjoying its fragrance – a waft so lovely that (Chanel) perfumes are made from its blossoms. Rare night-time moths benefit.
After three years I thought surely there would be a bloom. I recall wondering if maybe I had not done enough. Had I not given it enough water or light or too much? Or perhaps, I was not doing something "right."
I’ve had that same feeling about certain study, situations, and sometimes feeling confused.
What I've learned is to stay with what I don't yet understand.
And I have good news: the tree is blooming! I realized that all that fragrance and bloom was always there.
Enjoy these stormy days and air so thick it feels like we can hold it.
