Green Heron

A Green Heron hunting along the pond edge behind Pineneedle!

Did you know?
The Green Heron is one of the world’s few tool-using bird species. It often creates fishing lures with bread crusts, insects, and feathers, dropping them on the surface of the water to entice small fish. (All About Birds)

I know. Where is the green? The black parts are velvet-green black.

Here is the last photo I took at dusk and just before it flew off.

I heard its loud skeow call as it flew off.
